Steve Carlin is a retail marketplace developer and specialty food consultant, and a strong supporter of the “buy fresh, buy local” farm movement. He spearheaded the Ferry Building Marketplace in San Francisco, CA, and developed Oxbow Public Market in the Napa Valley. At Napa Farms Market at San Francisco International Airport, and Berkshire Farms Market in Logan International Airport, he led the creative team to introduce the first highly-acclaimed artisan markets in U.S. airports. His background includes 20 years as managing partner of the Oakville Grocery, a leading Northern California specialty foods retailer featuring artisanal foods from local producers. He served on the Board of Directors for Joseph Phelps Vineyards, in St. Helena CA, and Oakville Grocery. He was president of the Board of Directors for the St. Helena Farmer’s Market in Saint Helena, CA, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Visit Napa Valley and Napa Land Trust. |
